Dipped Bar: CANAL

malted hot chocolate & charcoal marshmallow.

We mold malted milk chocolate ice cream into a bar, pipe a dollop of charcoal marshmallow on top, then dip in dark chocolate. To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, we created this flavour inspired by the Irish immigrant story. In our present, the Canal is a place of fun and leisure, a solace from harsh winters to enjoy a hot chocolate with marshmallows. Looking back, it wasn't a place of joy and wonder. Irish emigration was motivated by the collapsed grain economy, forcing workers to take on dangers of blasting rock and breathing in dirt & debris to create the Canal we enjoy today.
